Welcome to THRIVE
Everyone deserves a place where they belong.
Everyone deserves a place where they belong.
THRIVE grew from something I have seen both personally and professionally: autistic people and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can have services, appointments, programs, and people working toward goals with them—and still be missing something incredibly important.
A Place to Belong
A place to make real friendships. To discover interests. To create something. To laugh. To contribute. To try something new. To share something they're great at. To participate in their community. Or sometimes, just to have somewhere to go and have fun.
As a mom raising children with disabilities, an advocate, and someone who has spent years navigating disability services both personally and professionally, I've seen how hard families work to find the right supports. I've also seen the difference between simply having services available and actually having opportunities to live, connect, participate, and belong.
That's Why I Created THRIVE
THRIVE isn't being built around what someone can't do. It's being built around people—their interests, strengths, choices, personalities, ideas, dreams, and the things that bring them joy.
Maybe you want to meet new people. Maybe you love art, writing, cooking, photography, games, music, or creating things. Maybe you want to learn something new, build a skill, volunteer, or share something you're great at.
Or maybe you just want somewhere you can show up, be yourself, have fun, and feel like you belong.
There is a Place for That HERE
THRIVE is still growing, and so is this website. Some programs and opportunities are currently being developed, and we'll continue adding information as they become available.
